Update on our Princess

After two years of fighting to figure out what is wrong with Madasin, we get a diagnoses.  She indeed does have an IBD, just not sure if it is Ulcerative Colitis or Crohns Disease because of her age it is to early to tell which one it is. However they are both treated the same way. This life long disease has already tormented her for the last two years and she is only 3 years old.  We have believed for a while now that it was one of the two. But getting the official diagnoses is still hard. It hits you like a boulder coming off a cliff!!! Why does someone so young have to go through all the hell these diseases cause?
I so wish I had the ability to take all her pain and disease away from her and take it upon myself. Just so she does not have to go through anymore hell.
It is so unfair that a child so young as to deal with this and there is really nothing we can do but give maintenance medicine to give her relief.  Getting the diagnoses was a long time coming and we are relieved to finally be to that point however we are saddened by the outcome at the same time.

A personal note to my princess grand daughter Maddie:   mamma loves you so very very much peanut and I am truly sorry that you are going through this. If mamma had the ability to take it away I would in a heart beat.  When mommy said you are the strongest 3yr old we have ever met, she was so right. Princess you are our sunshine and our  inspiration get through everyday!
I promise to be here for you daily no matter what the issue is, Even after the good lord says it is my time, I will be with you to watch over you every second of the day.  Mamma loves you very much princess and I know in my heart of hearts that you are strong enough to get through life dealing with this disease.  We will be with you every step of the way.

I am probably rambling and repeating myself and if so I am sorry.  My thoughts are just running on overload right now.

That's it for now.

  1. This has got to be rough on your family. Sorry to hear that there isn't more that they can do for her.
